One of the most infamous warplanes of the Second World War, the Ju87 Stuka was a fearsomely effective warplane when faced with no enemy opposition. Over the skies of France, Holland, Poland and Belgium, it was a devastating weapon, but suffered appalling losses when faced with the RAF’s Spitfires and Hurricanes and it was quickly removed from frontline service. After its removal from the Western Front, the Ju87 saw widespread service in the North African Desert and Eastern Front.
