Sometimes things go wrong, and your model receives an imperfect paint job. Don’t worry, what seems like a failed model now will soon be ready for a new primer coat and the whole problem a distant memory! With Clean Slate rmvr 2.0 you will be able to easily remove paint off of your model with absolutely zero damage to polystyrene.
Cleans Slate is truly polystyrene friendly acrylic paint remover/stripper like no other. Parts may be in prolonged contact with it, you can soak them for days even. Plastic won’t discolour or become brittle. Even CLEAR PARTS are OK to be cleaned with Clean Slate! No other remover can do that! Ultrasonic cleaner compatible
- Recommended techniques: brush
- Combine with: Removes any water-based acrylic paint coat
- Available volumes: 200 ml reusable liquid
Clean Slate is formulated to deal with acrylics. It evaporates slowly, doesn’t produce noxious fumes and has pleasant smell. It is easily rinsed with tap water. The remover can be reused! Simply wait for the paint residue to settle on the bottom of a container to use it again, you can also filter it if in dire need for the remover. Clean Slate is both effective and comfortable to work with while removing paint from all kinds of miniatures!
Clean Slate is merciless for the paint but absolutely safe for polystyrene (PS). Other removers are only partially safe for PS – sure they remove the paint but plastic becomes discoloured, brittle or swollen, contact time is limited. The longer the exposure the greater the damage. Limiting contact time doesn’t work as we want do clean thoroughly and leave out as little paint as possible. With Clean Slate you are not risking anything and can soak your model as long as you need for a perfect cleaning result. It gets better! You can clean clear parts too! Other removers ruin clear parts very quickly – they become milky which is never the case with Clean Slate!

Clean Slate is fantastic ,i used it to remove acrylic paint from a resin dinosaur kit and it cleaned up really well. The paint on the model was only a couple of weeks old (unsatisfactory airbrush job) i used a worn toothbrush to get the paint out of the detailed nooks and crannies ,rinsed off thoroughly with warm water and have since resprayed the model with no problems. A word of caution though! This stuff is quite fum’id so use in well ventilated space and wear disposable rubber gloves. This is a really good product and i will definitely use again (if things go wrong of course .)

This the first time that I have used this product and I think it is the best paint remover that I have ever tried. It is so easy to use,no smell, no paint left on the model you did and no messy sludge left at the end. I will happily tell family and friends about this product.
I am not surprised that this product does what it says,as I have found that all the products I have used from VMS Company, have done what they say on the packet and at the end of the day isn’t that what you want.

Awesome product. Removed two different colour layers of spray paint from an old RC car bodyshell that had been on there for over 25 years! Got it back to the original white plastic. So easy and safe to use. Will definitely use again when needed.

Great cleaner for acrylic but did not seem to work very well with enamel paint.

something that actually works, removed umpteen coats of various spray and brush paints jobs from a tamiya hard body pumpkin 87 shell, fair enough it only tackles one coat at a time depending how thick paint was applied but at least this works and with it being brush on ive hardly used any
i apply panel at a time wait few mins then agitate with paint brush then rinse under running tap, dry off then repeat, underside of body is a lot easier as it was mostly overspray so that looks to be coming off in one application
fantastic stuff also it doesn’t stink like others, highly recommend
