Das Werks VK 3.06 armoured ammunition tractor is a rugged prototype from WWIIs closing yearsa fully enclosed, tracked support vehicle based on the Panzer III chassis. This kit features detailed interior stowage racks, ammo crate mounts, sprocket and return roller detail, and optional stowage configurations. It’s a rare but compelling support vehicle ideal for loading dock or combat supply dioramas.

Historical Background:

The VK 3.06 was one of several late-war German armoured auxiliary vehicles designed to support frontline operationsspecifically to carry and supply ammunition under armour protection. With a low, enclosed body and Panzer III-derived drive train, it was conceived to follow tanks and deliver ammo safely into combat. Though not produced, it represents wartime innovation toward specialist tracked support vehicles.
