Victrix Plastic Miniatures

12mm Panzer Pz.Kpfw.IV Ausf.F VG12022

This Victrix set includes six finely detailed 12mm (1:144 scale) Panzer IV Ausf.F tanks, complete with a decal sheet featuring German crosses and black/white tactical numbers. This variant of the Panzer IV was widely used between 1940 and 1945, serving across all major theatres of the war—including the Western Front, Eastern Front, North Africa, and Italy.

The Ausf.F marked a key transition point in the evolution of the Panzer IV. Early production models were fitted with a short-barrelled 7.5cm gun for infantry support, while later Ausf.F2 models were upgraded with the longer KwK 40 L/43 gun, dramatically improving anti-armour performance. This flexibility allowed the Panzer IV F to remain effective even as the battlefield shifted towards heavier Allied armour.

Deployed in large numbers, the Panzer IV F was a mainstay of German armoured divisions during the mid-war period. With improved frontal armour over earlier versions and solid reliability, it served alongside heavier tanks like the Tiger and Panther, often fulfilling the role of frontline workhorse.

  • 6 x 12mm Panzer IV Ausf.F Tanks
  • Decal sheet included (German crosses and black/white numbers)

Note: This set requires assembly and painting. Glue, paints and tools are not included and must be purchased separately.

History:

The Panzer IV Ausf.F played a critical role in German armoured warfare during the early to mid-stages of World War II. Introduced in 1941, it featured improved armour and served extensively in Operation Barbarossa, the North African campaign, and the defence of Italy. The F2 variant’s upgrade to a longer 7.5cm gun gave it the firepower needed to face Soviet T-34s and lend-lease Shermans. Its reliability, production numbers, and adaptability ensured its continued service even after more advanced tanks entered the field. As the conflict wore on, many Ausf.F models were retrofitted or reassigned to second-line duties, but they remained a vital part of the Panzerwaffe throughout the war.
