This 28mm hard plastic set from Victrix represents Austrian Napoleonic Grenadiers from 1798 to 1815. The set includes 56 highly detailed miniatures, capturing the elite status and distinctive uniform of Austria’s most formidable infantry. Designed for versatility and historical accuracy, this set is ideal for building grenadier battalions for use across the Napoleonic Wars.
Included are 2 officers, 2 standard bearers, 2 drummers, 2 mounted colonels, and 48 grenadier infantry. The officer and mounted colonel figures come with multiple arm options, offering variation in posing and command composition. Of the 48 infantry, 32 are in march attack pose, while the remaining 16 can be configured for marching or posed in firing, loading, advancing at porte, advancing at charge, or as sergeants.

History:
Austrian Grenadiers were the elite of the Habsburg infantry during the Napoleonic era. Formed from the best soldiers of each line regiment, grenadier battalions were held in reserve for critical assaults or to anchor defensive positions. Known for their discipline and courage, they played key roles in major battles such as Austerlitz, Wagram, and Leipzig. Clad in tall bearskin caps and distinctive white uniforms, they were a symbol of Austrian military tradition and pride. This Victrix set allows you to recreate these elite troops with the variety and detail needed for both wargaming and display.
