History:

The Imperial Guard Lancers were among the most iconic cavalry units of Napoleon’s army. Originally formed from Polish troops loyal to Napoleon, the regiment was later expanded to include a Dutch contingent. Known for their colourful uniforms and deadly charges, these lancers fought across the breadth of Europe, gaining a fearsome reputation. Their presence on the battlefield was as much psychological as physical—Napoleon often used them to deliver decisive blows or reinforce faltering lines.
