Victrix Plastic Model Figures
Gallic Cavalry (28mm) VXA033
This 28mm hard plastic set from Victrix represents Gallic noble cavalry—elite warriors who formed a formidable mounted force across the ancient European battlefield. These armoured horsemen fought in both independent Gallic armies and as mercenaries in the service of Carthage during the Punic Wars. They also appeared as allies or auxiliaries alongside Roman forces during campaigns against Germanic tribes and other frontier conflicts.
The set includes 12 highly detailed cavalry figures with a range of weapons and accessories, including swords, javelins, spears, round shields, cloaks, trumpets, and standard-bearing options. Sculpted with excellent definition, the models are designed to depict noble Gallic warriors clad in armour, setting them apart from lighter cavalry elements. The inclusion of cloaks, multiple head and body options, and parts for command figures provides flexibility to assemble unique units full of character and battlefield presence.
Perfect for use in Gallic, Carthaginian, Roman ally, or even Hellenistic armies, this set is fully supported by LBMS shield transfers for further customisation.

History:
Gallic cavalry played a central role in tribal warfare and were highly sought after as mercenaries by major powers such as Carthage and Rome. Their fearlessness, aggressive charges, and horsemanship made them a potent force in both skirmish and full-scale battle. Noble cavalry units were typically drawn from the aristocracy and equipped with better armour, weapons, and horses than the average warrior. During the Punic Wars, Gallic cavalry served alongside Hannibal, and later, many allied with or were incorporated into Roman auxiliary forces. Their mobility and shock value ensured their place as one of the most iconic mounted forces of the ancient world.
