History:
Introduced in 1943, the Panther was designed to counter the Soviet T-34, incorporating sloped armour and superior firepower. By 1944, the Ausf G became the most produced and refined version, featuring strengthened side armour and a simplified design to ease manufacturing. It saw action across Europe, from the Normandy landings to the Ardennes Offensive and the defence of the Eastern Front. Despite mechanical teething issues, the Panther earned a formidable reputation as one of the best all-round tanks of the war, influencing tank development for decades after the conflict ended.
