History:

The Messerschmitt Bf109 was Germany’s principal single-seat fighter throughout the Second World War. Introduced in the mid-1930s, it saw constant evolution, with the G-series (nicknamed ‘Gustav’) representing the most produced and heavily armed versions. The G-5 and G-6 variants featured improved high-altitude performance, pressurised cockpits, and enhanced armament, maintaining the aircraft’s competitiveness against Allied fighters. Used on every front, from the Eastern Front to the Mediterranean, the Bf109 became a symbol of the Luftwaffe’s air power, renowned for its agility, climb rate, and deadly precision in combat.
