AK35033 – German Bus (1967–1971)
Known by many names around the world—Transporter and Kombi in Europe, Kombi or Furgão in Brazil, Combi, Panel and Caravelle in Mexico, and Microbus in the United States and Canada—this iconic German van has earned its place in automotive history. Used extensively for both civilian and military tasks, it remains in service in some countries even today.
The AK35033 kit represents the bus version of this classic vehicle, manufactured in Germany between 1967 and 1971. It is one of the most recognisable and widely used variants, now a nostalgic favourite among vehicle enthusiasts. This version features emergency lights and a roof-mounted ‘Follow Me’ light bar, evoking its use in airport and service roles. The included decal sheet offers markings for four colourful vehicles, including airport buses as seen in a well-known 1971 spy film.
