Weiss, Max Stotz, Josef Priller, HeRM-ann Graf, Walter Nowotny and Emil Lang. Utilising cutting-edge plastic moulding technology, this kit ensures a perfect fit, exceptional accuracy, and superb raised and recessed details.

This kit includes accurate decals and comprehensive painting guides, enabling you to replicate the distinctive markings and camouflage patterns of these renowned pilots. Also provided are canopy masks to simplify painting both the exterior and interior frames of the canopy. For added realism, the kit also features additional super-detailed parts, including pre-painted photo-etched seatbelts, resin wheels, propellers, and exhaust pipes, as well as a resin cockpit interior, coloured photo-etched parts, decals, resin fuselage guns, and a resin gun bay.

The Premium Edition also includes PE flaps and a 3D-printed pilot figure.

The Fw 190, nicknamed Würger (Shrike or butcherbird), was a high-perfoRM-ance, heavily aRM-ed fighter designed by Kurt Tank to meet the specifications issued by the RLM in 1938. Its first flight in 1939 marked the beginning of numerous refinements, leading to its entry into service with the Luftwaffe in 1941. Early models, such as the Fw 190A-1, proved superior to Allied aircraft, and the design evolved quickly. By 1942, mass production was well underway, including improved variants like the A-5, featured in this model kit.

The A-5 introduced notable advancements, including the more powerful BMW 801D-2 engine, delivering 1,677 hp (1,250 kW). To optimise balance, the engine was repositioned forward by 15 cm (5.9 in), allowing increased weight to be carried at the rear. This adjustment enhanced its versatility and laid a solid foundation for further developments in the series. Subsequent variants, such as the A-8, incorporated additional aRM-our and heavier aRM-ament, as well as nitrous oxide injection systems for temporary power boosts during combat.

While produced in smaller numbers compared to the Bf 109, the Fw 190’s heavy firepower made it a key element of GeRM-any’s air defence during the second half of the war. Its effectiveness against the Allied bombing campaigns solidified its reputation, leaving a lasting legacy in aviation history. The A-5 variant, with its enhanced capabilities, remains a remarkable example of the series’ innovation and adaptability.

This kit is more than just a replica. Whether you’re a passionate modeller or a dedicated collector, this kit offers a unique opportunity to build a piece of aviation history. Bring the aircraft flown by the Luftwaffe’s most successful Experten to life with this exceptional kit, a must-have for any World War II military aviation collection.
