History:

The Nissan Skyline KDR30 Super Silhouette was a product of the Japanese Super Silhouette Formula series that ran in the early 1980s. Built on the Skyline R30 platform, it featured an extreme aerodynamic body designed for speed and stability on track, with its boxy profile, flared arches, and massive rear wing becoming iconic in motorsport culture. Powered by the turbocharged LZ20B engine, it produced around 570 horsepower, allowing it to dominate in its class. The car’s bold red and black livery, backed by Nissan and its racing partners, made it instantly recognisable and a fan favourite. Beyond its track success, the KDR30 helped cement the Skyline’s reputation as a high-performance legend and laid the groundwork for the future GT-R lineage that would go on to become world-famous in both motorsport and street performance.
