Arma Hobby PZL P.11c Brygada Poscigowa – 1/72 Scale
The Arma Hobby PZL P.11c Brygada Poscigowa is a 1/72 scale plastic model kit of the Polish fighter aircraft that defended Warsaw during the opening days of the Second World War. This special edition includes four marking options representing aircraft from the four Warsaw fighter squadrons of the Pursuit Brigade.
Designed for straightforward assembly while reproducing the distinctive shape and construction of the PZL P.11c, the kit combines plastic components with additional 3D-printed details for the cockpit, armament and external fittings.
The PZL P.11c and the Defence of Warsaw
When Germany invaded Poland on 1 September 1939, the PZL P.11c was the principal fighter aircraft of the Polish Air Force. Although already slower than the latest Luftwaffe fighters, it remained the backbone of Polish fighter aviation during the September campaign.
The Pursuit Brigade, known in Polish as Brygada Poscigowa, was responsible for the aerial defence of Warsaw. From the first hours of the invasion, its fighter squadrons engaged German aircraft approaching the capital.
This edition brings together four aircraft from the Brigade’s Warsaw squadrons, each associated with a pilot who served during September 1939. The marking choices allow modellers to represent different aircraft involved in the defence of the Polish capital.
