This acrylic color set has been specially designed to reproduce the authentic look of aircraft in bare metal or metal paint finishes. Perfect for modelers looking for a realistic metallic finish on their models, this set includes four carefully selected shades to capture the variations and tones of the metal surfaces exposed to different conditions.
With this set of acrylic colors, you will achieve an accurate and detailed representation of WWII and Cold War aircraft in bare metal such as the P-38 Lightning, P-47 Thunderbolt, P-51 Mustang, MiG-21, MiG-23, F-86 Sabre, F-100 Super Sabre, F-104 Starfighter, English Electric Lightning, most post-war Soviet aircraft such as the MiG-15, MiG-17, MiG-19, MiG-21 and the famous Tu-95 “Bear” and Tu-142 bombers, as well as airliners from the 1930’s to the 1960´s. These are just a few well known examples; the list of combat and civilian aircraft featuring bare metal surfaces is almost endless.
ATOM paints have a water-based formula that offers all the advantages of lacquer and is optimized for maximum performance with both brush and airbrush. The features of this paint include self-levelling capability, fast drying, and for their covering power which makes them unique to the market. Additionally, they are extremely durable, allowing for the use of acrylics, lacquers, enamels, or more aggressive products such as decal solutions once dry. They come in a new transparent 20 ml bottle with a convenient vertical dropper cap that can be opened and closed with one hand. This paint is non-toxic and odorless. It can be applied directly from the bottle or thinned with ATOM-20500/20510/20520 ATOM Thinner and Cleaner Thinner, or ATOM-20501/20511/20521 ATOM Thinner and Cleaner with Retarder.
