Copper State Models Plastic Model Kit
Ehrhardt E-V/4 M.1917 Armoured Car (1/35) CSM35010
The Ehrhardt E-V/4 M.1917, often referred to as the “Straßenpanzerwagen”, was one of the most advanced German armoured cars of the First World War. This 1/35 scale kit from Copper State Models delivers a highly detailed replica, offering precision moulding and historically accurate features. The vehicle’s revised design of 1917 introduced lighter armour while adding enhanced underbody protection, a fully revolving turret, and improved protection for vulnerable elements such as headlamps and rear wheels.
- 1/35 scale injection-moulded plastic model kit
- 175 finely detailed parts including transparent components
- Choice Cartograf decals for authentic markings
- Colour instruction manual included
- Features accurate details such as armoured headlamp boxes, mudguards, and fully rotating central turret
Note: This model kit requires assembly and painting. Glue, paints and tools are not included and must be purchased separately.
History:
Introduced in 1917, the Ehrhardt E-V/4 was an evolution of earlier German armoured car designs. It incorporated several improvements over its predecessor, the 1915 model, most notably a redesigned frontal armour arrangement that reduced overall weight by 1.75 tons while maintaining battlefield protection. Additional enhancements included reinforced underbody plating, enclosed armoured boxes for the headlamps, and protective armoured mudguards shielding the double rear wheels. The fully revolving central turret gave the crew greater operational flexibility, making the vehicle more adaptable in combat. Deployed primarily for reconnaissance and security duties, the Ehrhardt E-V/4 represented the peak of German First World War armoured car engineering and served as a foundation for interwar armoured vehicle development.
