Copper State Models Plastic/Resin Model Kits

Copper State Models Garford Putilov Freikorps Service (1/35)

The Garford Putilov armoured car was originally built in Russia during WWI, combining the Garford truck chassis with a Putilov-built armoured body and turret-mounted artillery. This special Freikorps Service version from Copper State Models depicts the vehicle as operated by German volunteer military units in the chaotic postwar years. In 1/35 scale, this kit offers highly accurate detailing of armour plating, rivet lines, and unique German service modifications.

  • Highly detailed 1/35 scale plastic model kit
  • Accurate riveted armour reproduction and chassis detail
  • Includes postwar German Freikorps configuration details
  • Ideal for WWI, postwar, and interwar dioramas
  • Suitable for intermediate to advanced modellers

History:
The Garford Putilov was one of the most heavily armed armoured cars of WWI, typically mounting a 76.2mm field gun and multiple machine guns. Following the Russian Revolution and subsequent civil war, captured examples were used by various factions, including the German Freikorps in the Baltic and Eastern Europe during 1919–1921. These vehicles were repurposed for anti-Bolshevik operations, reflecting the complex political and military environment of the time.
