History
The Garford-Putilov armoured car, introduced in 1915, was a formidable addition to World War I battlefields, particularly on the Eastern Front. Mounted with heavy armament, it supported infantry by targeting fortified enemy positions. However, its slow speed and limited manoeuvrability hindered effectiveness in fast-moving operations. Despite these drawbacks, it left a notable mark on early 20th-century armoured warfare, influencing future vehicle design.
