CSM Lanchester Russian Service (1/35)
The Lanchester Armoured Car in Russian Service was a British-built vehicle adapted for the Eastern Front during WWI. Armed with a 37mm Hotchkiss gun, it provided improved firepower over the standard machine gun version. These vehicles played an important role in reconnaissance and support missions for Russian forces, combining mobility with significant offensive capability.

History:
During the First World War, Britain supplied Lanchester armoured cars to the Russian Empire to strengthen its mobile armoured units. The addition of the 37mm Hotchkiss gun greatly enhanced their combat capability, enabling them to engage both enemy infantry and light fortifications. These vehicles were used extensively on the Eastern Front, where their speed and firepower proved valuable in the vast and often rugged terrain. Following the Russian Revolution, surviving units saw service in various conflicts, making them a fascinating subject for historical and modelling projects.
