Copper State Models Plastic/Resin Model Kits

CSM Minerva Armoured Car (1/35)

The Minerva Armoured Car was one of the first armoured fighting vehicles used in World War I. Built in Belgium on a civilian Minerva automobile chassis, it was adapted for military use with armoured plating and a mounted machine gun. Its early service in 1914 made it a pioneering example of mechanised warfare, combining mobility with armoured protection at a time when such concepts were still in their infancy.

  • 1/35 scale plastic model kit
  • Highly detailed exterior with accurate armour plating
  • Includes period-correct Belgian military markings
  • Detailed machine gun mount and fittings
  • Ideal for WWI history and early armoured vehicle collections

History:
The Minerva Armoured Car was developed by Belgium at the outbreak of the First World War. Using the robust Minerva touring car as its base, engineers added armoured panels and a Hotchkiss machine gun to create a mobile weapon for reconnaissance and infantry support. These vehicles played a key role in the early months of the war, particularly during the defence of Antwerp and other key battles. Although lightly armoured by later standards, the Minerva represented an important step in the evolution of armoured warfare and inspired future developments in military vehicle design.
