DSPIAE HWP-01 Replacement Razor Saw Blade

The DSPIAE HWP-01 is the replacement blade for the DSPIAE AT-HWP Precision Razor Saw. Designed for fine, controlled cutting, the 115 x 20 mm blade combines a very narrow 0.1 mm kerf with a 32 TPI cutting edge. This allows precise cuts while keeping the amount of material removed to a minimum, particularly useful when working with small or delicate modelling components.

The cutting section is manufactured from high-carbon manganese steel, providing the sharpness and hardness required for detailed work while resisting wear and deformation. It is suitable for cutting ABS and other plastics, resin parts, 3D printed parts and soft wood. The blade is not suitable for cutting metal or glass.

Fine 32 TPI Cutting Edge

The HWP-01 has 32 teeth per inch with an approximate tooth pitch of 0.79 mm. Combined with its 0.1 mm kerf, this fine tooth pattern allows narrow cuts where control and minimal material loss are important. The 115 mm blade length also provides a longer cutting stroke while retaining the fine cutting characteristics expected from a precision razor saw blade.

Reinforced Manganese Steel Blade

A 304 stainless steel reinforcement rib runs along the blade to increase rigidity and help reduce blade flutter during longer cuts. This reinforcement supports the thin manganese steel cutting section without changing its fine 0.1 mm kerf.

For corrosion protection, the blade receives a blued anti-rust surface treatment and is treated with anti-rust oil at the factory. A VCI (Vapour Corrosion Inhibitor) storage bag is also supplied to help protect the blade when it is not in use.

Blade Care

The manganese steel cutting section can rust once its protective coating begins to wear. Apply anti-rust oil after use and keep the blade in the supplied VCI storage bag when not in use to help protect it against corrosion.
