The Eduard Bell P-39K/L Airacobra Weekend Edition (1/48) offers a detailed yet accessible build of the unique mid-engine US fighter. The P-39 served in multiple theatres during WWII, including North Africa, the Pacific, and New Guinea, where its heavy armament and distinctive design made it a versatile ground-attack and air-combat platform. The K and L variants featured incremental improvements in performance and equipment over earlier models.
This Weekend Edition kit provides Eduard’s high-quality moulded plastic parts with accurate surface detailing and four historically authentic marking options. Covering both USAAF units in the Mediterranean and Pacific, it allows for a variety of colourful and historically significant schemes. With no photo-etched or resin parts, the build is straightforward, making it ideal for a focused and enjoyable modelling project.
