Eduard Plastic Model Kit

Focke-Wulf Fw 190A-8 ProfiPACK (1/72) – 70111

Eduard’s ProfiPACK edition kit 70111 offers the Focke-Wulf Fw 190A-8 in 1/72 scale – one of the Luftwaffe’s most formidable fighter aircraft of World War II. The Fw 190A-8 variant was heavily armed and served as a versatile interceptor and ground attack aircraft in the later stages of the war. This model captures the aggressive profile and detailed engineering of the original aircraft with precision-moulded parts and finely reproduced surface details.

The ProfiPACK edition includes Eduard’s own plastic sprues along with pre-painted photo-etched (PE) parts for cockpit and exterior detailing. It also comes with a full set of painting masks for clean canopy and wheel masking, plus decals for five unique marking options, allowing modellers to customise their build to a range of historically accurate schemes.

History:

The Focke-Wulf Fw 190A-8 was an evolution of the renowned Fw 190 fighter, featuring additional armour and armament to counter increasing Allied air superiority. Introduced in 1944, the A-8 was equipped with the BMW 801D-2 radial engine and could carry a range of external stores, including bombs and fuel tanks. Its robust construction and heavy firepower made it well-suited for both air superiority and ground attack roles. Used extensively on both the Eastern and Western Fronts, the Fw 190A-8 cemented its reputation as one of the Luftwaffe’s most reliable and effective combat aircraft.
