History:

The Scimitar CVR(T) entered service with the British Army in the early 1970s as part of the Combat Vehicle Reconnaissance (Tracked) family. Lightweight, fast, and armed with a 30mm Rarden cannon, it was designed to provide reconnaissance units with firepower and mobility. The MK2 upgrade introduced enhanced armour and improved protection for crews against modern battlefield threats, while retaining the agility that made the Scimitar effective. The vehicle has seen service in a wide range of theatres, from the Cold War in Europe to the Falklands, Iraq, and Afghanistan.
