History:

The Bedford MWC was a specialised 15-cwt 4×2 water bowser variant of the popular Bedford MW truck series, developed for the British Army during World War II. With a 200-gallon water tank mounted to the rear, it played a critical role in ensuring water supplies for troops stationed at forward operating bases, encampments, and field hospitals. Unlike the GS (general service) versions, the MWC was equipped with specific plumbing and fixtures to allow water dispensing for both drinking and sanitation purposes.

The open cab design with aeroscreen was typical of early war production models, intended to reduce production time and materials.
