AK Interactive Green Power Epoxy Putty AK-8208

AK Interactive Green Power AK-8208 is a versatile two-part epoxy putty developed for sculpting, filling and recreating parts on scale models and miniature projects. When the two components are mixed together at room temperature, they form a sticky green putty that can be shaped, moulded and detailed using suitable modelling tools.

Once mixed, Green Power provides approximately 90 minutes of working time. This gives you time to form replacement details, fill gaps, build up shapes and refine the surface before the putty begins to harden. Maximum hardness is reached after approximately 24 hours.

Recommended Uses

  • Recreating missing or damaged model parts.
  • Sculpting small details and custom components.
  • Filling gaps, seams and unwanted openings.
  • Adding raised texture or surface detail.
  • Modifying figures, miniatures and scale models.

For smoother surfaces, AK Interactive recommends using a lubricant such as water, oil or petroleum jelly. Sculpting tools should remain lubricated or moistened while working to prevent the putty from sticking and to make shaping easier.

Talcum powder can also be used to reduce fingerprints or create additional surface texture. Apply it carefully and gradually so that the finish remains under control while the putty is still workable.

Working With Green Power

The proportions of the two components can be adjusted to influence the final hardness and curing speed. Changing the balance may result in a softer or harder mixture and can cause it to cure more quickly or slowly. For predictable results, begin with equal proportions unless a different finish is deliberately required.

Store the unused putty in a cool place to help maintain its condition. Refrigerated storage may extend its usable life, although it should be allowed to return to a suitable working temperature before mixing.
