Green Stuff World Blood Gloops – 10ml Thick Blood Effect Gel
Green Stuff World Blood Gloops is a thick special-effects gel for recreating fresh blood, clots, stringy gore and viscous blood deposits on miniatures, models and dioramas. Part of the Green Stuff World Slime Effects range, it creates three-dimensional textures that extend beyond the surface of a model.
Its fibrous, elastic consistency allows blood to be stretched into suspended strands between teeth, claws, weapons and wounds. The wet, glossy finish gives these details the appearance of fresh, thick blood, making it particularly useful for horror miniatures, zombies, monstrous creatures and combat scenes.
Applied directly from the container, Blood Gloops holds its shape well. Small amounts create fine threads and droplets, while larger quantities produce raised clots, dense splatters and substantial accumulations of blood.
Creating Hanging Blood Strands
Blood Gloops can be stretched between two attachment points to recreate blood hanging from a creature’s jaws, clinging to a weapon or connecting damaged areas of a miniature.
To create suspended strands:
- Collect a small amount of gel using a toothpick, modelling tool or old paintbrush.
- Apply it to the first attachment point, such as a tooth, claw or weapon.
- Slowly stretch the gel towards a second surface.
- Attach the filament and adjust its thickness by varying the amount of product.
Fine strands work well between fangs or around wounds. Thicker filaments can represent blood stretching from a sword, axe or claw. Combining different thicknesses with droplets at the attachment points creates a more irregular, organic appearance.
Blood Clots, Wounds and Gore Effects
For deeper wounds and mutilated areas, apply a larger amount of Blood Gloops and work it into raised, uneven deposits. These can represent clotted blood, torn tissue and thick accumulations around damaged flesh.
The gel can also create suspended droplets, dense splatters, bloodied weapon details and small pools beneath wounded creatures. On dioramas, it can form blood trails or connect figures to surrounding scenery.
Alternating glossy deposits with fine strands helps distinguish fresh, viscous blood from areas of heavier clotting.
Adjusting the Consistency and Colour
Blood Gloops can be diluted gradually with Green Stuff World Slime Effects Thinner. A thinner mixture is useful for spreading blood across surfaces, creating stains, wet edges and shallow puddles. The undiluted gel is better suited to suspended strands and raised details.
It can also be combined with acrylic paints and other effects to vary the colour. Darker reds, browns and blacks can represent aged or clotted blood, while Green Stuff World True Blood can provide contrast between liquid-looking blood and thicker deposits.
Keep the container tightly closed between uses and work in a well-ventilated area. Follow the product label’s instructions and safety warnings.
