GreenStuffWorld Dusty Blue Dip Dipping Ink Marker

GreenStuffWorld Dusty Blue Dip is a ready-to-use Dipping Ink Marker designed for fast and convenient contrast painting of miniatures. Filled with 6.5ml of Dipping Ink paint and fitted with a size 2 tip, the marker allows colour to be applied directly to the surface without the need for brushes, a wet palette or additional containers.

The fluid and translucent Dipping Ink formula is designed to pool naturally in recessed areas while remaining lighter over raised details. This creates shadows, highlights and depth with a single application, making Dusty Blue Dip particularly useful for speed painting miniatures, figures and wargame armies.

Controlled Contrast Painting

The size 2 tip provides a useful balance between coverage and control, allowing different areas of a miniature to be covered quickly and precisely. For smaller details or areas requiring greater precision, the tip can be replaced with GreenStuffWorld size 1 replacement tips, available separately.

For the strongest contrast effect, Dusty Blue Dip can be applied over a white or light-coloured primer. It is also particularly effective over a grey wash prepared using the Slapchop technique, where highlights and shadows are established using black, grey and white before the translucent colour is applied. These underlying variations remain visible through the Dipping Ink, enhancing the miniature’s contrast and definition.

Shake the marker well before use, then apply the paint directly to the surface and distribute it evenly. Avoid repeatedly working over areas that have already begun to dry. The direct marker format makes it a convenient addition to your model paints setup for painting individual miniatures, figures and larger wargame armies.

Refillable and Reusable Marker

Once the original Dusty Blue Dip paint has been used, the marker can be cleaned, refilled and reused. It can be refilled with GreenStuffWorld Dipping Ink paints, airbrush paints and other acrylic paints with adequate flow. Thicker acrylic paints can be adjusted using acrylic thinner until the desired flow is achieved.

Replacement tips and internal components can also be used to refresh the marker. This allows the Dipping Ink Marker to remain a reusable painting tool for creating new colours, blends and effects after the original 6.5ml of Dusty Blue Dip has been used.
