Green Stuff World Violet Goo is a 10ml violet special-effects gel for creating slime, mucus and viscous secretions on miniatures, creatures and dioramas. Its thick, stringy texture stretches into suspended filaments between teeth, claws and tentacles or forms raised deposits of purple slime. Particularly suited to alien creatures, mutants, demons and supernatural fantasy models.

Green Stuff World Violet Goo – 10ml Violet Slime Effect Gel

Green Stuff World Violet Goo is a violet special-effects gel for creating thick slime, mucus and unnatural secretions on miniatures, models and dioramas. Part of the Green Stuff World Slime Effects range, it produces raised, three-dimensional textures and suspended strands that add physical depth to creature models and scenery.

The gel’s thick, stringy consistency allows it to stretch between different parts of a miniature, forming filaments of sticky purple slime. These can represent saliva hanging between a monster’s teeth, mucus connecting claws or strange secretions dripping from tentacles.

Its distinctive violet colour works particularly well for alien fluids, poisonous-looking slime, magical residues and supernatural creatures. From demons and mutants to giant insects, parasites and tentacled monsters, Violet Goo provides an unusual organic finish for fantasy, horror and science fiction subjects.

Creating Suspended Violet Slime Strands

Violet Goo can be applied directly from the container. In its original consistency, the gel holds its shape without dripping, allowing controlled placement on small details.

To create suspended slime filaments:

  1. Collect a small amount of gel using a toothpick or modelling tool.
  2. Apply it to the first attachment point, such as a tooth, claw or tentacle.
  3. Gently stretch the gel towards a second attachment point.
  4. Attach the strand and adjust its thickness by varying the amount of product used.

Small quantities produce delicate threads, while larger amounts create thicker strands with more volume. Combining different thicknesses with small deposits at their ends produces a less uniform, more organic appearance.

For example, several violet strands can connect a creature’s upper and lower fangs, while thicker filaments between claws can suggest a sticky, unnatural secretion.

Alien Secretions and Supernatural Scenery

Violet Goo can also be applied without stretching to create raised accumulations of slime, thick mucus and viscous deposits on model surfaces.

These effects are particularly useful for Lovecraftian creatures, carnivorous plants, parasites and monsters with tentacles or unusual biological features. The violet colour can represent mutagenic fluids, poisonous secretions or magical substances without relying on painted colour alone.

Strands can also connect branches and scenery elements to suggest an alien infestation, spreading organic matter or a slimy trail left by a creature.

Adjusting the Gel Consistency

For thinner surface applications, Violet Goo can be diluted gradually using Green Stuff World Slime Effects Thinner. Add a small amount and mix until the required consistency is reached.

A thinner mixture can be spread across surfaces in layers, while the original undiluted gel is better suited to suspended strands and thicker three-dimensional details. Dilution changes the gel’s strand-forming behaviour.

Keep the container tightly closed between uses and work in a well-ventilated area. Follow the product label’s instructions and safety warnings.
