The GreenStuffWorld Water Soluble Patina Set is a collection of acrylic weathering effects designed for creating realistic ageing, grime, rust, soot, moisture, and environmental wear on miniatures, models, scenery, and props. The partially water-soluble formula allows hobbyists to manipulate and reactivate the finish to create varied and highly natural weathering effects.
Part of the patina paints range, the set is suitable for military models, science fiction projects, fantasy terrain, railway modelling, and scenic displays.

The formula allows pigments to naturally settle into panel lines, recesses, and textured surfaces, helping create realistic dirt and wear patterns with minimal effort. Effects can range from subtle tonal variation to heavy grime and corrosion depending on the application method and amount used.
The product can be applied directly by brush or airbrush and then adjusted using damp brushes, cotton swabs, or sponges to blend, remove, or soften areas of the effect. Once the desired finish is achieved, sealing with matte varnish is recommended for long-term durability.
