The Hasegawa 1975 Lancia Stratos HF Safari Rally is a highly detailed 1/24 scale model kit depicting one of the most famous rally cars ever built competing in one of the world’s toughest motorsport events. This limited edition release faithfully recreates the Lancia Stratos HF as entered in the demanding 1975 Safari Rally, complete with authentic competition markings.

The kit is moulded in white plastic and consists of approximately 146 finely detailed parts. Once assembled, the completed model measures approximately 166mm in length and 73.5mm in width. High-quality offset-printed decals provide crisp, accurate graphics for two famous Safari Rally entries, making it an ideal display piece for rally enthusiasts and motorsport collectors.

Builders can choose between the car driven by Sandro Munari, which finished second overall as car number 3, or the third-placed entry of Björn Waldegård, car number 8. Both cars represent the remarkable reliability and performance of the Stratos during one of the most gruelling rounds of the World Rally Championship.

With its compact wedge-shaped bodywork and distinctive rally specification, the Lancia Stratos remains one of the most iconic competition cars ever produced. History

The Lancia Stratos HF was developed specifically to dominate international rallying and became one of the most successful competition cars in World Rally Championship history. Powered by a Ferrari Dino V6 engine and featuring a lightweight mid-engine layout, it won three consecutive World Rally Championship manufacturers’ titles between 1974 and 1976. The 1975 Safari Rally in Kenya was regarded as one of the most demanding events on the calendar, with competitors facing rough terrain, river crossings and extreme weather. Sandro Munari finished second while Björn Waldegård claimed third place, further cementing the Stratos’ legendary reputation for speed and endurance.
