History

The Honda XLR250R earned a strong reputation as a lightweight and dependable dual-purpose motorcycle, equally capable on the road and off-road. Motard conversions became increasingly popular by replacing the original off-road wheels with smaller road-going 17-inch wheels fitted with wider tyres, dramatically improving handling on tarmac while giving the bike a distinctive sporting appearance. These conversions created agile urban motorcycles that combined the rugged simplicity of an enduro machine with the performance and style of a supermoto.
