The Hasegawa F-16I Fighting Falcon Israeli Air Force is a highly detailed 1/72 scale plastic model kit of the advanced F-16I “Sufa”, one of the most capable multirole fighters in Israeli service. This edition accurately reproduces the distinctive appearance of the F-16I, including the unique external modifications that set it apart from standard Fighting Falcons.

History

The F-16I “Sufa” is a specialised version of the F-16D Block 52+ developed specifically for the Israeli Air Force. Introduced in 2004, the aircraft incorporates conformal fuel tanks for extended range, an enlarged dorsal spine housing advanced electronic systems and communications equipment, and Israeli-developed avionics tailored to national operational requirements. Operated by elite squadrons including the 119th “Bat” Squadron and 253rd “Negev” Squadron, the F-16I is capable of carrying a wide range of precision-guided weapons and undertaking long-range strike, air defence and reconnaissance missions. Its combination of advanced technology, exceptional range and combat capability has made it one of the Israeli Air Force’s most important frontline aircraft.
