Hasegawa F-20 Tigershark (1/72) HAB03
The Hasegawa F-20 Tigershark is a highly detailed 1/72 scale plastic model kit of the advanced lightweight fighter developed by Northrop during the 1980s. Although the aircraft never entered production, the F-20 remains one of the most admired “what if” aircraft in aviation history thanks to its exceptional performance, modern avionics and sleek appearance.
Part of Hasegawa’s popular B Series, this kit features finely moulded plastic parts, clear canopy components, high-quality waterslide decals and an easy-to-follow illustrated assembly and colour guide. Multiple options for weapons and undercarriage configuration allow you to customise your finished aircraft, while Hasegawa’s precise tooling provides crisp surface detail and excellent fit throughout the build.
The compact 1/72 scale makes the F-20 an ideal addition to any collection of modern military aircraft. Whether built as a clean demonstration aircraft or fully armed display model, the Tigershark offers an enjoyable project for both experienced modellers and newcomers alike.

History
The Northrop F-20 Tigershark was developed as a highly advanced successor to the successful F-5E Tiger II. Powered by a single General Electric F404 engine and equipped with state-of-the-art radar and avionics, the F-20 offered outstanding acceleration, agility and reliability while remaining relatively simple and economical to operate. Despite its impressive capabilities, changing United States export policies and strong competition from aircraft such as the F-16 Fighting Falcon prevented the aircraft from entering production. Only a handful of prototypes were built, but the Tigershark remains one of the most fascinating aircraft never to reach operational service.
Glue and paints are sold separately.
