Hasegawa Macross Plus YF-21 Battroid 1/72 Model Kit

Recreate the YF-21 in Battroid mode from the OVA Macross Plus with this detailed 1/72 model kit from Hasegawa. Piloted by Guld Goa Bowman, the completed YF-21 stands 235mm high and measures 133mm wide, creating an impressive representation of the distinctive Battroid design.

Assembly requires no glue, while numerous poly parts provide movable joints throughout the model. The components are supplied in seven colours: blue, orange-yellow, light grey, black, clear red, clear green and clear. Combined with the supplied decals, these coloured parts allow the finished model to closely resemble the original design.

Weapons and Hand Options

The YF-21 includes two gun pods as its armament, along with dedicated parts for attaching the gun pods to the waist armour. A comprehensive selection of hands provides different display possibilities, with hands for holding the gun pods, pinpoint barrier punches, gripping hands and open hands supplied for both the left and right sides.

Two clear green pinpoint barrier punch effect parts are also included. These can be combined with the appropriate hands to recreate the distinctive barrier punch effect and provide an alternative to the gun pod-equipped configuration.

Optional Fast Pack Configuration

The Fast Pack can be attached to the arms and waist armour as an optional configuration, giving the modeller another way to present the completed YF-21. The combination of movable joints, alternative hands, gun pods, effect parts and optional Fast Pack components provides a range of supported display configurations within the kit.

Marking decals are included for completing the model, while the multi-coloured components help establish the YF-21’s appearance during assembly. The kit sits naturally among other 1/72 scale figures and subjects.
