This 1/24 scale Nissan Skyline 2000GT-R KPGC110 Racing Concept from Hasegawa recreates the striking Kenmeri GT-R concept car displayed at the 1972 Tokyo Motor Show. The concept represented Nissan’s vision of a racing version of the second generation Skyline GT-R and showcased the bold styling of the early 1970s.

The model captures the distinctive body shape and racing inspired modifications of the exhibition vehicle. Detailed parts reproduce many of the features seen on the show car, including aerodynamic additions and racing equipment fitted to the interior.

History

The Nissan Skyline GT-R became one of the most famous performance cars in Japanese automotive history. The KPGC110 generation, often referred to as the Kenmeri Skyline, was introduced in the early 1970s and featured distinctive styling that quickly made it popular with enthusiasts.

In 1972 Nissan displayed a racing concept version of the Skyline 2000GT-R at the Tokyo Motor Show. The concept demonstrated how the car could be adapted for motorsport use, with aggressive body modifications and racing equipment. Although the GT-R programme was soon halted due to changing market conditions, the Kenmeri GT-R remained an iconic chapter in Skyline history.
