Hasegawa 1989 Taka-Q Toyota 88C WSPC (1/24) HALE20576
The Hasegawa 1989 Taka-Q Toyota 88C WSPC is a highly detailed 1/24 scale plastic model kit of Toyota’s iconic Group C endurance racing prototype. Finished in the distinctive yellow Taka-Q livery, this kit recreates Team TOM’S Car No.37 as it competed in the second round of the 1989 World Sports Prototype Championship at the Dijon 480km race in France.
Containing 89 precision-moulded parts, the completed model measures approximately 199mm in length and 82.5mm in width. The body is moulded in yellow, providing an excellent foundation for the authentic decal scheme included in the kit. The sleek aerodynamic bodywork, low-slung cockpit and detailed chassis accurately capture the appearance of one of Toyota’s most recognisable late-1980s endurance racers.
Designed using Hasegawa’s renowned tooling quality, the kit offers excellent fit and crisp detail throughout. It is an ideal project for motorsport enthusiasts, Group C fans and collectors of classic Japanese racing cars.

History
The Toyota 88C was developed for the fiercely competitive FIA World Sports Prototype Championship Group C regulations. Campaigned by Team TOM’S during the 1989 season, the 88C featured advanced aerodynamics, lightweight construction and a turbocharged Toyota engine capable of delivering exceptional endurance racing performance. Wearing the striking yellow Taka-Q sponsorship, Car No.37 competed in the Dijon 480km race as Toyota continued to refine its Group C programme, laying the foundations for the company’s later success in international endurance racing.
