This Hataka paint set provides the full selection of colours used in the MERDC camouflage system introduced by the U.S. Army in the mid-1970s. Developed by the Mobility Equipment Research & Design Command, the MERDC scheme allowed crews to adapt vehicle camouflage to different climates by swapping one or two colours while keeping the overall pattern consistent. This set gives modellers accurate shades for the most common MERDC variations, including Winter Verdant and Summer Verdant.
