This 1/35 scale plastic model kit presents a trio of iconic U.S. military trucks used during World War II: the Chevrolet G7117, the Studebaker US6-U3 cargo truck, and the Studebaker US6-U5 fuel tanker. Produced in large numbers by the American war industry, these vehicles were essential to the logistical efforts of the U.S. and Allied forces. Renowned for their durability and efficiency, they played crucial roles in troop support, supply delivery, and field operations.
The Studebaker US6 series, introduced in 1941, featured a rugged three-axle configuration and became a workhorse across various theatres of operation. History:
The rapid mobilisation of American industry during World War II led to the development of reliable and purpose-built military vehicles, many of which became cornerstones of Allied logistics. The Studebaker US6 variants were valued for their off-road capabilities and payload versatility, and were extensively used on the Eastern Front via the Soviet Lend-Lease programme. The G7117, built by Chevrolet, offered a practical and rugged platform ideal for domestic military operations. Together, these vehicles highlight the strength of American wartime engineering and its contribution to victory in multiple global theatres.
