The Italeri Lancia Fulvia Coupé 1.6 HF ‘Fanalone’ is a 1/24 scale plastic model kit of one of Italy’s most recognisable sporting cars. Its compact coupé body, distinctive front treatment and purposeful HF appearance capture the character of a model closely associated with Lancia’s performance heritage.

This edition includes new parts, a photo-etched fret and rubber tyres. The combination of plastic, metal and rubber components adds definition to smaller details while giving the wheels and exterior a more varied appearance. These features provide a strong basis for careful assembly, painting and display.

Once completed, the model measures approximately 16.4 cm long. The Fulvia’s elegant styling and compact proportions make it suitable for a standalone road-car display, a collection of Italian classics or a scene inspired by European motoring and competition during the late 1960s and early 1970s.

History

The Lancia Fulvia Coupé entered the market during the second half of the 1960s and became one of the best-known Italian cars of its era. Its elegant styling, strong performance and competitive pricing contributed to commercial success in several countries. Compact external dimensions were combined with efficient use of interior space, making the car both sporting and practical.

The Fulvia also incorporated advanced engineering for its period. Versions of the range used Lancia’s narrow-angle V4 engine mounted longitudinally at the front and driving the front wheels. A 1,300 cc version produced approximately 87 hp, delivering lively performance from the lightweight and well-balanced chassis.

Lancia developed the celebrated Fulvia HF competition cars from the road-going coupé. The 1.6 HF became particularly famous through its motorsport career and its distinctive large inner headlamps, which inspired the informal name “Fanalone”. The Fulvia’s competition achievements helped establish the sporting reputation that later became closely associated with Lancia.
