Javis Fine Granite for Model Scenery

Javis Fine Granite JFG112 is a scenic scatter for adding natural stone texture to model railway layouts, dioramas and miniature landscapes. The pack contains approximately 1½lb of fine-grade granite granules with a uniform natural stone tone and subtle colour variation.

The material is suitable for railway ballast, driveways, quarry floors, rocky terrain and other landscape features. Its fine-grade texture supports detailed scenic work while providing the visible depth and variation associated with natural stone surfaces.

Granite Texture for Landscapes

This fine granite can be used to create defined stone areas within model scenes. It is suitable for individual features such as driveways and ballast layers, as well as broader quarry floors, rock outcrops and sections of natural terrain.

The granite can form a standalone finish or be used as an upper layer over finer ballast or turf materials. It also blends with other scenic aggregates and weathering powders, allowing different textures to be combined within a railway layout or diorama.

Layering and Fixing

Javis Fine Granite is designed for easy layering and requires scenic glue or medium to hold it in place. It can be arranged across a complete area or applied to selected features where stone texture and terrain definition are required.

Layering the granite with finer ballast, turf or other aggregates can add variation to model groundwork. It may also be used by itself when a consistent fine-granite surface is appropriate for the scene.
