Add realistic cardboard packaging to your 1/35 scenes with Matho Models Cardboard Boxes – Generic. The set contains a total of 28 boxes in six different designs, providing a varied selection of small-scale packaging for adding extra detail to modelling projects and dioramas.

Each box is printed on slightly thickened paper to give the finished item a realistic appearance. The interiors are printed with a brown cardboard texture as well, allowing the boxes to be assembled and displayed open as well as closed. This makes the set particularly useful for detailing scenes where visible cardboard boxes are required.

28 Boxes in Six Designs

With 28 individual boxes across six different designs, the set provides plenty of flexibility when arranging the finished pieces. The combination of printed exteriors and brown cardboard-textured interiors means boxes can be positioned in different ways while retaining printed detail on visible internal surfaces.

The boxes are designed to be cut, folded and glued into shape. Closed boxes provide compact packaging details, while open boxes can make use of the printed interior texture for a different appearance within the same scene.

Cutting, Folding and Finishing

For clean results, cut out each box using a really sharp, preferably new, knife and a steel ruler. Also remove the thick white or black lines between the upper and lower flaps for cleaner assembly.

After cutting the complete outline, make one cut to the left and one to the right of each thick line. Use the tip of the knife where the line remains attached, then carefully move the knife sideways to remove the piece.

For neat, sharp folds, use a knife and steel ruler to move very gently over the bending lines without cutting through them. Once you’ve folded and glued the brown box, you can lightly paint any exposed white paper edges brown. This helps the edges blend naturally with the printed cardboard finish and gives the completed box a cleaner appearance.
