Matho Models White Uppercase Chalk Letter Decals

Matho Models 80032 provides an A6 sheet of small white uppercase chalk waterslide letter decals in two different heights. The sheet includes 1.5mm and 2mm letters, with the height clearly identified to make selecting the required size straightforward. Suitable for all scales, these decals provide a choice of compact white chalk lettering for scale modelling projects.

The letters use separated film, allowing the individual decals to come away one by one without the need to cut precisely to their edges. Their ultra-thin construction helps them adapt well to different surfaces, while the semi-matte finish provides a controlled appearance. High-definition printing produces crisp results even across the smallest details, with accurate and colourfast white printing.

1.5mm and 2mm Chalk Lettering

The A6 sheet contains uppercase chalk letters in two heights: 1.5mm and 2mm. Having both sizes on one sheet provides a useful choice when selecting lettering for an individual project. The letter heights are listed on the sheet, helping you quickly identify the required size while working.

Applying the Waterslide Chalk Letters

Cut out the required decal with a sharp knife, then place it in water for approximately 5 to 10 seconds to loosen it from the carrier paper. Gently slide the letter into position using tweezers. Decal softener, such as Micro Set and Sol, can be used for better adhesion, particularly when applying the decals to non-flat surfaces.

Once positioned, use tissue paper and apply light pressure over the decal to remove excess water or decal softener and fix the letter in place. Varnish can then be airbrushed over the decal for protection. Semi-matte or matte varnish can be used to reduce glare if required, followed by the usual weathering process to blend the white chalk lettering into the finished design.
