Matho Models Black Dashed Line Waterslide Decals

Matho Models 80048 provides an A6 sheet of black dashed waterslide decals in a selection of line thicknesses from 0.10mm through to 1mm. Suitable for all scales, the different thicknesses are clearly identified on the sheet, making it easy to select the appropriate dashed line for your modelling project.

The decals feature separated film, allowing them to come away individually without the need to cut precisely to the edges. Their ultra-thin construction helps the decals adapt well to different surfaces, while high-definition printing produces crisp detail. The black printing is colourfast and has a semi-matte finish.

Dashed Lines from 0.10mm to 1mm

The A6 sheet provides a useful range of black dashed line thicknesses. For each thickness from 0.10mm to 0.6mm, there is 37cm of line available. For each thickness from 0.7mm to 1mm, the sheet provides 24.7cm of line. Each thickness is listed directly on the sheet for straightforward selection.

Part of the Matho Models range, the sheet is suitable for all scales, allowing the dashed lines to be selected according to the requirements of the individual project rather than a fixed modelling scale.

Applying the Dashed Line Decals

Cut the required line to the desired length with a sharp knife, then place it in water for approximately 5 to 10 seconds to loosen the decal from its carrier paper. Gently slide the decal into position using tweezers. Decal softener, such as Micro Set and Sol, can be used for better adhesion, particularly on non-flat surfaces.

Once positioned, apply light pressure with tissue paper to remove excess water or decal softener and secure the decal. Varnish can then be airbrushed over the decal for protection, with semi-matte or matte varnish suitable for reducing glare if required. The usual weathering process can then be used to blend the dashed lines into the finished design.
