Matho Models Small Yellow Number Waterslide Decals
Matho Models 80026 provides an A6 sheet of small yellow waterslide number decals in eight different heights. Suitable for all scales, the sheet includes digits from 1mm through to 6mm, providing a useful selection of sizes for adding yellow numbers to scale modelling projects. Each height is identified on the sheet, making it straightforward to select the required size.
The decals feature separated film, allowing individual numbers to come away one by one without the need to cut precisely to their edges. Their ultra-thin construction helps them adapt well to different surfaces, while the semi-matte finish provides a controlled appearance. High-definition printing produces crisp results even on the smallest details, with accurate and colourfast yellow printing.
Eight Yellow Number Heights
The A6 sheet contains yellow digits in 1mm, 1.5mm, 2mm, 2.5mm, 3mm, 4mm, 5mm and 6mm heights. This progression of eight sizes provides plenty of choice when selecting the appropriate number height for an individual design. The height markings on the sheet make the different sizes easy to identify while working.
These Matho Models number decals are suitable for all scales, allowing the required digit height to be selected according to the needs of the modelling project.
Applying the Yellow Number Decals
Cut out the required decal with a sharp knife and place it in water for approximately 5 to 10 seconds to loosen it from the carrier paper. Gently slide the digit into position using tweezers. Decal softener, such as Micro Set and Sol, can be used for better adhesion, particularly when applying decals to non-flat surfaces.
Once positioned, use tissue paper and apply light pressure over the decal to remove excess water or decal softener and fix the number in place. Varnish can then be airbrushed over the decal for protection. Semi-matte or matte varnish can be used to reduce glare if required, followed by the usual weathering process to blend the yellow numbers into the finished design.
