Matho Models 2.5mm White Number Decals Type 1

Matho Models 80050 is an A6 sheet filled with small white number waterslide decals, with each digit measuring 2.5mm in height. Suitable for all scales, the sheet provides a versatile selection of finely printed white digits for adding numbers to a wide variety of scale modelling projects.

The decals use separated film, allowing individual numbers to come away one by one without the need to cut precisely to their edges. Their ultra-thin construction helps each decal adapt well to the application surface, while the semi-matte finish provides a practical base for subsequent finishing and weathering.

Fine 2.5mm White Number Decals

The complete A6 sheet is filled with white digits measuring 2.5mm high. High-definition printing provides crisp results even across the smallest details, while the colours are accurate and colourfast. The numbers are suitable for all scales, allowing the same sheet to be used across different scale modelling projects.

Applying the Waterslide Decals

Cut out the required decal with a sharp knife and place it in water for approximately 5 to 10 seconds to loosen it from the carrier paper. Gently slide the decal into position using tweezers. Decal softener, such as Micro Set and Sol, can be used for better adhesion, particularly when applying the numbers to non-flat surfaces.

Once positioned, use tissue paper with light pressure to remove excess water or decal softener and fix the decal into place. Varnish can then be airbrushed over the decal for protection. A semi-matte or matte varnish can be used to reduce glare if required.

The usual weathering process can then be applied to blend the numbers into the finished design.
