Matho Models 1/35 Oil & Gas Station Decals

Add finely printed oil and gas station markings to your modelling projects with this Matho Models A6 water-slide decal sheet. Designed primarily for 1/35 scale, the decals can also be used with other scales where their size suits the project.

The sheet includes various water-slide decals with high-definition printing for crisp results, even on the smallest details. Accurate, colourfast printing and a semi-matte finish help create clean, convincing markings for suitable scale model decal applications.

Ultra-Thin Decals with Separated Film

Each decal uses separated film, allowing individual designs to come away one by one without needing to be cut precisely to their edges. The ultra-thin decal material adapts well to different surfaces, helping the markings sit closely against the area where they are applied.

A semi-transparent protective sheet covers the decal sheet. This cover can make the decals appear dull before use, but once removed the printed designs appear crisp and bright. Copyright markings are not present on the actual product.

Applying the Water-Slide Decals

Cut out the required decal with a sharp knife and place it in water for approximately 5-10 seconds to loosen it from the carrier paper. Gently slide the decal into position using tweezers. Decal softener such as Micro Set & Sol can improve adhesion, particularly when applying decals to non-flat surfaces.

Once the decal is correctly positioned, use tissue paper and light pressure to remove excess water or decal softener and help fix it in place. Airbrush varnish over the decal for protection after application. Use a semi-matte or matte varnish to reduce glare, if needed.

The usual weathering process can then be applied, allowing the oil and gas station markings to blend naturally into the finished design while retaining their finely printed detail.
