Matho Models 1/35 Fashion Brand Shopping Bags

Add convincing everyday detail to 1/35 civilian scenes with this Matho Models set of fashion shopping bags. The set contains 32 paper bags featuring six popular luxury fashion brands, with multiple copies of each design in different sizes. They are ideal for adding small but noticeable details to shops, streets, vehicles and other suitable 1/35 scenes.

The bags feature high-definition printing on thin coated paper, detailed vector designs and a silk finish. Three strands of nylon are also included for making realistic cord-style handles.

Six Fashion Brands Included

  • Chanel – black handles
  • Christian Dior – white handles
  • Louis Vuitton – blue handles
  • Prada – white handles
  • Yves Saint Laurent – black handles
  • Versace – black handles

With 32 bags in total and designs supplied in different sizes, the set provides plenty of variety when adding shopping bags to your scale model kits and scenes. Copyright markings shown in the designs are not present on the actual product.

Assembly

Begin by carefully cutting each bag from the paper using a sharp knife and steel ruler. Cut two 2 cm lengths from the supplied nylon cord for the handles, then use a scriber to mark the handle holes at the small dots indicated on the design.

Gently score the folding lines with an old knife and steel ruler before pre-folding the bag. Take care not to cut through these lines. Fit the handles through the prepared holes, then fold and glue the top flaps inwards to secure them. Glue the two small bottom-side flaps before closing the bag with the remaining flaps.

Finishing Tips

For cleaner assembly, remove the thick white or black lines between the top and bottom flaps when cutting out the design. After the glue has dried, a small fold can be added to the sides near the top to give the finished bag a more realistic standing shape.

On coloured or black bags, the exposed paper edges can be lightly painted in an appropriate colour after assembly to disguise the white paper edge. Careful cutting, gentle scoring and crisp folds will help bring out the fine printed detail and produce a neat, convincing result for 1/35 model detailing.
