Miniart StuG III Ausf. G Late Production – MIAG (1/72) 72112
The MiniArt 1/72 StuG III Ausf. G Late Production – MIAG offers a highly detailed small-scale replica of one of Germany’s most iconic and widely produced assault guns of World War II. Manufactured by MIAG in the final stages of the war, this late-production variant featured simplified construction techniques, consistent with Germany’s efforts to streamline armoured vehicle production under increasingly difficult conditions.
This kit includes precise surface detailing, accurate late-war features such as cast-textured mantlets, welded side skirts, and reworked engine deck elements. Despite the compact 1/72 scale, MiniArt delivers refined detail through clean moulding and smart engineering. It’s ideal for wargamers, diorama builders, and collectors looking for a compact yet historically faithful build.
- Scale: 1/72
- Accurate late-production StuG III G features (MIAG build)
- Detailed upper hull, running gear, and gun assembly
- Includes optional side skirts (Schürzen)
- Photo-etched parts included for fine details
- Multiple decal options and historical markings
Note: This model kit requires assembly and painting. Glue, paints and tools are not included and must be purchased separately.
History:
The Sturmgeschütz III (StuG III) was Germany’s most produced armoured fighting vehicle of World War II. Initially conceived as an infantry support weapon, the Ausf. G variant became a highly effective tank destroyer by 1943. MIAG was one of several manufacturers contracted to build the vehicle, and their late-war versions featured simplified construction and modifications designed for mass production. Used extensively on all fronts, the StuG III played a vital role in German defensive tactics. MiniArt’s 1/72 kit captures this crucial vehicle in its final wartime form, offering modellers an excellent mix of historical accuracy and refined detail at a convenient scale.
