Modelcraft Detailing and Weathering Paint Marker Set
The Modelcraft PPM1000/S Detailing and Weathering Paint Marker Set contains six oil-based paint markers and one thinner/blender pen. Designed for model and craft projects, the seven-piece selection supports fine detailing, panel lining, freehand markings, rust effects and realistic weathering.
Fine detail points help create accurate lines and markings, while the included thinner pen adds flexibility for washes, streaking and blended effects. The oil-based paint dries more slowly than acrylic paint, providing additional working time to adjust and refine the finish.
Six useful paint colours
The paint markers provide a versatile selection of metallic, neutral and earth colours for detailing and weathering work:
- Silver oil-based paint marker
- White oil-based paint marker
- Black oil-based paint marker
- Grey oil-based paint marker
- Red Brown oil-based paint marker
- Dark Brown oil-based paint marker
- One thinner/blender pen
- Modelcraft reference PPM1000/S
These colours can be used for accurate markings, panel lines, rust tones and freehand details. The set is suitable for plastic, metal, glass and other surfaces, making it useful across varied modelling and craft projects.
Blend washes, streaks and weathering effects
The thinner/blender pen can blend the oil-based colours, wash out areas or pull the paint into streaks. This allows the six paint markers to support a wider variety of weathered finishes beyond simple lines and solid markings.
Because the oil-based paint dries more slowly than acrylics, you have more time to adjust an effect before it sets. This is particularly useful when refining blended areas, washes, streaking or other realistic weathering details.
Preparing and using the markers
Shake each marker before use, then activate the nib on scrap paper. Take care to control the paint flow as the nib becomes ready. When applying the markers over water-based paints, a protective varnish layer is recommended.
Important: These markers contain xylene and must be used in a well-ventilated area.
