Mr Hobby Water-based Weathering Paint Gouache Solvent
Mr Hobby WTT-111 Water-based Weathering Paint Gouache Solvent is a 60ml dedicated thinner designed for use with water-based weathering paints. Although water can also be used for thinning, this specialised thinner is formulated to improve the paint’s flow and adhesion, helping modellers achieve a better finish when working with weathering effects.
The thinner can be used in different amounts depending on the technique and consistency required. For slight thinning, adding just 1 to 2 drops can help improve paint flow. For techniques such as washing or panel lining, the amount can be adjusted as needed to achieve the desired consistency.
For Thinning, Washing and Panel Lining
WTT-111 is designed to give greater control over water-based weathering paint consistency. Small additions can improve flow without requiring extensive dilution, while larger amounts can be introduced when preparing paint for washing or panel lining effects.
- 60ml dedicated thinner
- Designed for water-based weathering paints
- Helps improve paint flow
- Helps improve paint adhesion
- Add 1 to 2 drops for slight thinning
- Can be added as needed for washing or panel lining
- Suitable for blending and removing weathering paint
This makes WTT-111 a useful addition to a selection of model paints when working with compatible water-based weathering products. Its controlled use allows the consistency of the paint to be adjusted according to the weathering technique being carried out.
Blending Weathering Effects
For blending, a cotton swab or brush can be soaked in the thinner and used to loosen and wipe away the paint. This provides a practical way to soften, adjust or remove areas of compatible water-based weathering paint while developing the desired effect.
WTT-111 is part of the wider Mr Hobby range. It is not compatible with Mr. Weathering Colours, Mr. Weathering Paste or YAKUMO Colours. Its intended use is specifically with water-based weathering paints, where it can improve flow and adhesion while supporting thinning, washing, panel lining and blending techniques.
